Rathbone Place

Burogloo was appointed as feasibility architect on this exciting residential development scheme in Westminster’s conservation area. The scheme involved refurbishment and redesign of ten existing flats over two (operating) retail units and development at roof level to provide two additional dwellings.

Burogloo were involved from inception, preparing various feasibility schemes and study documentation with a  client-appointed project manager. Working with the planning consultant, full planning permission for the scheme was achieved and the project is currently being developed out on site.

We pride ourselves on our ability to find the right balance between site density, saleability and high quality living standards, offering schemes designed both to maximise returns and to create dwellings that are attractive and comfortable to inhabit.

Projects to date have included the conversion of a listed church into 14 flats, development of new-build multi-unit residential developments, wholesale residential and mixed use development of office and apartment buildings and redevelopment of private houses. In each case, we offer our clients ideas on how best to use the space, and exploit the site to best effect. Additionally Burogloo continues to work with private landlord clients to maximise their property portfolios and develop underused sites and buildings into commercially viable residential developments, frequently within central London conservation areas.

Whether working as project leader or alongside external project managers and other design and project professionals, Burogloo offers a fresh, forward thinking, practical approach and a reliable architectural service, tailored both to the client’s needs and project and site constraints.
